Wonderings:

In what ways do I need/want to be 'right'? How do I try and make others 'wrong'? Why do I sometimes fall into this dynamic? What are strategies/skills I can use to guard against this? How does this tendency to 'want to be right' show up in our American society and in our world at large?

Franciscan priest Richard Rohr notes, "If you hold both sides seriously, that is the space in which you can grow morally, in understanding what really matters. That is the space in which you can go deep and learn mystery....The third way is not balancing or even eliminating the opposites, but holding the opposites, as Jesus did on the cross. To live inside this space of creative tension is the very character of faith, hope, and love." (Richard Rohr, The Art of Letting Go: Living the Wisdom of Saint Francis)
